Olive Branch Learning Center is an in-person Islamic homeschool co-op (cooperative) for grades K–5 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, serving Muslim homeschooling families across Montgomery County and the DMV. Classes run Monday through Thursday and combine rigorous core academics with Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and Arabic. The Learning Center is a project of Olive Branch Preparatory School, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021.
Hands-on math
MovementScroll through a typical day, from morning core blocks to afternoon Hifz. Times are tentative; each year’s schedule is shared with families once available.
Ninety-minute core blocks built on the IEW writing method and project-based math, taught in classes of 10 to 12.
Hands-on NGSS science and world history enriched with the perspectives of Islamic civilizations.
Aqeedah, ibadaat, seerah, akhlaaq, and Qur’anic vocabulary, with recitation and memorization by level.
Supervised play, lunch, and structured group activities, every single school day until 2:00pm.
An optional, structured path to Qur’an memorization that flows straight from the school day.

Our first soccer team took the field this year, girls and boys together, medals and all. Alongside basketball, it’s part of a school year where children don’t just study; they belong to something.
