Academic Calendar
The year is split into three trimesters of 12 instructional weeks each. Holidays and closings closely follow the MCPS calendar.
Term One
September 3 – November 22
The year opens with new units across every course and baseline Qur’an assessments.
Term Two
December 2 – February 28
Courses continue with the second third of the full-year curriculum in each subject.
Term Three
March 3 – May 30
The final third of the year, closing with portfolios ready for county homeschool reviews.
A Typical Week
The weekly rhythm.
Classes run Monday through Thursday, roughly 9:00am to 2:00pm. Fridays stay open for your family and Jumu’ah.

Please note: the weekly schedule shown here is tentative. Each year’s final schedule is shared with enrolled families before the term begins, insha’Allah. Exact days for Science and Social Studies vary by level. See the curriculum page for each level’s schedule. Holidays and breaks are included within term dates.
